At the end of last year the Château de Versailles in France played host to an exhibit by world renowned (and sometimes Louis Vuitton collaborator) artist Takashi Murakami which overtook the antiquated palace rooms with his bright, anime styled pop art sculptures. Love it? Hate it? Don’t quite get it… the exhibit did have its detractors it seems, including some French press naturally, but a more perfect match for two such disparate things I can’t quite imagine, and I will never forget it.
